Subject: 4OI6 Proposal Requirements

HOMEWORK: READ THE ATTACHED OUTLINE.

Alright, since we've planned to have and MSN meeting at 11 (we'll actually try to accomplish something in this)... i think everyone should have an idea of what needs to be done.

First of all, everyone needs to read the proposal outline to understand the requirements – Attached, and also, let's set up a face to face meeting for 6pm Sunday or later, if Shipton can't make it to discuss and finalize our deliverables.

To make sure everyone is on the same page, our direction right now is as follows:

We're making Autonomous Racers. Shannon's circuit will be a prototype, and we will be starting from scratch. By the end of the year we should be able to make a  pimped up version of Shannon's circuit. i.e. a line following robot going fast with spinners and tinted windows, with 7" lcd's on the back.

Main goal of the MSN meeting will be to distribute the work load for the proposal, so each person will be writing a section (quite self explanatory) that will come together to make a final proposal.  Feel free to pick a section that you are most comfortable with.

  1. Objectives
  2. Literature Search
  3. Breakdown of Design
  4. Bill of Materials
  5. Scheduling
